We all have our own fears, normally we shift towards a fight or flight response as we encounter them. I guess one good story about a certain superhero that never fails to inspire me is that story of Batman.
“And why do we fall? … So we can learn to pick ourselves up” (Thomas Wayne from Batman Begins)
Flashback……..reminds me of the last time I watched Batman begins, it sort of reminded me about how we face these inner battles inside our everyday life. I liked the way the story unfolds as it moves on how he embraced his innermost greatest fears in life and overcame it; Unlike other superheroes, he isnt borne with great skills. In fact, he had the hard time living amidst his fear, coping up with his problems, yet the only thing that marked his difference is that somewhere in between the line he decided to do something about it, not only to conquer his fear, to embrace it and master it as it becomes part of him. Through patience and perseverance, all through his faith, hard work, he fought to overcome an almost subconscious prison of realities and found his unrealized hopes.
In our daily lives we are beset by experiences that sometimes puts us into the dark, we may not have the will of a superhero, but our almightly God is always by our side as He watches over and protects us. Strengthening us and guiding us day by day as we try to embrace our own fears, showing us the right path to follow. So long as we put our faith and walk with in Him in His ways, we will never be lost.
